Papercrafting

For relaxation, I like to make models out of paper / light card.

I've made a whole range of things, which abundantly decorate my abode.

I'll be posting here ongoingly, with plenty of pictures of the models I've made.

I'm not able to do 3D modelling yet, but I hope to study that to a level where I can use it to design my own papercraft, because that would be excellent fun, I think.... designing and building little models.

Here are a few models, for starters -

(1) A black labrador, who I gave to the folk who lived next door at the last place.
They named him "Mac", after their own dog.

I knew that I'd be asking for trouble, but made TaggerBunny anyway.....



.. along with Samurai Bunny....



... and Bunny Lee...




... only to wake up the next day, and find them misbehaving already ....





What did I learn !

I also have made this rather splendid model of Vivi, the black mage from Final Fantasy -

I've also made this beautiful pussycat, who was ever-so-friendly, but then went to live with a new owner -

This cute dragon lived with me for ages a couple of years back, when I had still just not long started learning papercraft.

Also, A great tip for those who find their living-place to have numerous dark spots....
Such dank spaces could benefit from brightening up, but if you stick a plant there.... it won't catch the light much, and thus is likely to shrivel up, and look unhappy. Perhaps a porch is in want of decoration, or a space next to a corner computer, or a dark study / computer - room, for example.

My solution for this is.... paper plants !

I'd be nice to design paper flower templates myself, and pretty up even more places with them, but in the meantime I've used another person's design, and printed it out then stuck it together with my nimble fingers, to make this pretty paper ivy plant -

I've also made this rather nice toad, who hopped about for ages at my last boyfriend's folks' house -

And finally, please keep your voices hushed as we experience a rare sighting of an ever-so-shy 'Shy Guy' -

Check out my snazzy little totem-pole twins. Designed by Shin Tanaka in his trade-mark 'street' style, these can be stacked on top of each other in fairly large numbers. I just have these two though, personally.
